A Day after All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) and Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) finalized seat-sharing pact and alliance terms in Tamil Nadu, the Opposition MK Stalin led Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and Congress on Wednesday also announced their poll pact for upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019 in Tamil Nadu.
Announcing the Poll pact, MK Stalin said, ‘Out of total 40 seats, 9 Lok Sabha seats in Tamil Nadu & 1 seat in Puducherry have been given to Congress’.

As per the seat sharing terms, Congress will contest on 9 Lok Sabha Seats in Tamil Nadu and a single seat of Puducherry. Speaking about the pre-poll pact DMK Chief MK Stalin said, both the parties have as of now just finalized the seat-sharing and the Parliamentary Constituencies will only be decided after holding talks with other small ally partners.
He added that DMK would start seat-sharing talks with other parties who had supported it in the past two years. Replying to a query of a Journalist over by-elections on 21 Assembly Seats, Stalin said it will only be decided once the Election Commission would notify it.

It is expected that CPI, CPI(M), the Indian Union Muslim League, and the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi likely to join the DMK-Congress Alliance.
Answering a question on whether there would be a possibility for film actor Vijayakanth-led Desiya Murpokku Dravida Kazhagam (DMDK) to join the DMK-Congress alliance, Stalin indicated there were no talks with the DMDK.
However, it is expected that the BJP and the DMDK were continuing their discussion for seat-sharing under the AIADMK-BJP alliance, in which the Pattali Makkal Katchi has already sealed a deal.
DMK-Congress pre-poll alliance comes a day after BJP stitch an alliance with AIADMK to contest 5 seats in Tamil Nadu.
