The meeting was attended by senior leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad, Ahmed Patel, Jairam Ramesh, along with leaders from the state of Kerala and Tamil Nadu to monitor the situation in poll-bound states.

R.C Khuntia, state party chief of Telangana, who attended the meeting said, “This was a preparatory meeting that was held in the AICC war room and they have verified the preparedness of the TPCC for the upcoming elections in Telangana. They have looked into the overall preparedness and the alliances with other parties”, quoted Deccan Chronicle.

The High Power Committee discussed about Telangana mainly because there are early elections for the Assembly in the State. Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president N.
