Former Congress Union Minister S Krishna Kumar joined Bharatiya Janata Party. S Krishna Kumar was an MP of the Congress Party from Kollam thrice.
BJP leaders Shahnawaz Husain and Anil Baluni welcomed him to the party. While joining the BJP he said that he had found an able leadership in Prime Minister Narendra Modi and wanted wanted to strengthen the party with his membership.
“He said in the press conference, “As a developmental activist I have appreciated the depth of knowledge, attention to detail and the political will of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I have decided to devote the rest of my life as a soldier of Narendra modi”.
“I feel people should give a mandate to PM Modi not for 5 years, but for ten years by which he will bring India to the top of the world.
Mentioning his stance on the Congress party he said, “I was a three-time Congress MP, but during UPA‘s time I was against the leadership of Sonia Gandhi and now I am against the leadership of her son. I was a close associate of Rajiv Gandhi but I feel that after him desh bhakt Prime Minister should run this country… She (Sonia Gandhi) has no idea of India heritage nor does she have any real love for the India. I know because of the experience, I was marginalised as I was not part of the people around her who have been accused of corruptions,” he says.
