For the last few days, it is being discussed in the political circles of the country that Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi can soon take over the command of the party. In this regard, many senior Congress leaders have given statements and it seems that Rahul Gandhi can take over as Congress president after Diwali. Ahead of the coronation of Rahul, lots of good omen can be seen, which is a good sign for the party.

Rahul has recently become very active in the politics and especially the campaigning and on the social media. This can clearly be seen by the huge response that the Congress leader is getting in Gujarat rallies for the assembly election campaigns. Few are also speculating that after being in political exile for 22 years, the Congress may even come back to power this time.

Another good sign for the party is, The Congress’s performance in the recently concluded by-election and body elections is spectacular. These victories of the Congress are being considered as an auspicious sign for the leadership of Rahul Gandhi.

According to the results of the recently held by-polls Congress was on the upper hand than the BJP. On one hand, Congress won a huge margin of 1,93,219 votes in the Gurdaspur Lok Sabha by-elections, considered to be the BJP’s stronghold in Punjab. While on the other hand the IUML, Congress-supported Left Front in Kerala’s Vengalar registered a victory against BJP. Despite tremendous effort in Kerala, with Amit Shah launching the Jan Raksha Yatra, protesting against the ruling government for practising murder politics, BJP was not able to get a victory in its pockets and remained in fourth place.

In the BJP-ruled Maharashtra elections, the Congress has captured 65% of seats in Nanded, while the BJP remained unexpectedly fourth. The major reason for this was that Nanded was the stronghold of the Maharashtra Congress. But the defeat of the BJP in Gurdaspur in Punjab was very unpredictable and these victories are being regarded as a good sign for the party who is trying hard to remain in the fight against BJP.

Even in the recent student elections held in different universities of the country, Congress had the luck on its side. The All India Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), which is affiliated with the RSS organization, who was hoping to win, got the results otherwise. The Samajwadi Students Union of the Samajwadi Party’s student unit won an impressive victory in 4 out of 5 seats in the student wings of Allahabad University, which is called the centre of the country’s politics.

This victory is important because, in Uttar Pradesh, the BJP government led by Yogi Adityanath, State Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya, Health Minister Siddharth Nath Singh and Stamp Registry and Civil Aviation Minister Nand Gopal Gupta are related to ‘Nandi’ Allahabad. In spite of this, the defeat of ABVP indicates the growing displeasure of the people towards the BJP. ABVP which has been winning the polls for many years, lost the DU student wings elections this time. At the same time, it failed to register its strong presence in the Left Front JNU in Jaipur also. It also faced defeat in the Hyderabad University.

BJP’s record on Gurdaspur Lok Sabha seat in Punjab has been very good and because of this, it is considered as the BJP’s stronghold in the state. This seat was vacant after the demise of famous film actor and politician Vinod Khanna who had represented Gurdaspur parliamentary seat 4 times so far. The voting for the Gurdaspur constituency was held on October 11. Congress candidate Sunil Jakhar defeated BJP’s Senior Salaria by 1,93,219 votes. This victory, which was handled by the Congress on the Gurdaspur seat, is very important from the political point of view. A few months later, assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat will be held. In such a way, the victory of Gurdaspur will give the Congress a psychological edge over the BJP.

Congress candidate Sunil Jakhar defeated BJP’s Senior Salaria by 1,93,219 votes. This victory is considered very important for the party from a political point of view. As BJP ruled Gujarat and Congress-ruled Himachal Pradesh will both be going to polls by the end of this year, this victory of COngress in BJP’s strong area is a great psychological boost for the party.

BJP has till now not been successful in blooming the lotus in Kerela also since the CPM came to power in the state, BJP is striving hard to make its presence be felt but has failed. To give a morale boost to the bJP workers and show that the party has nor accepted the defeat BJP PArty President on 3 Oct had launched a Jan Raksha Yatra in protest against the killing of BJP and RSS activists in Kerala. This visit was seen as a stepping stone for BJP’s political land in Kerala. The BJP had put all its strength

This event was being regarded as a stepping stone for BJP’s political path in Kerala. The party had put all its strength in this journey. Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Textile Minister Smriti Irani along with the biggest faces of Hindutva in the country and Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath also participated in Jananakarta Yatra. Despite all these efforts, BJP could not manage any victory in the bypolls in Kerela.

Recently the ruling BJP under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has been facing a lot of criticism. The opposition has been continuously bringing up the issue of the slowing economy and the failure of Modi’s experiments of demonetisation and GST. Many people lost their lives and many lost their jobs due to the ban on the old currency notes and especially the farmers suffered the most.

Many small and medium enterprises bore heavy losses due to the implementation of GST. There was lots of chaos in the country and many faced troubles. The GDP also dropped down and the economic condition was starting to take a toll on BJP.
