This result comes as the third consecutive Defeat for Bhartiya Janta Party in Jharkhand. The BJP earlier in the year had suffered two defeats in by-polls The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha early this year had won Bypoll in Gomia and Silli with Congress Support.

Meanwhile, Congress victory in Kolerbira is seen as the signals of a revival of the Party in Jharkhand after registering a resounding victory in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh.

With this victory, the Congress will increase its tally to eight in the 82-member House.\
