United Progressive Alliance (UPA) Chairperson and Congress Parliamentary Party (CPP) Leader Sonia Gandhi have called a meeting of all its new MPs on Tuesday. The meeting called has been called by Sonia Gandhi on the capacity of Congress Parliamentary Party Leader.
All the Congress MPs have been invited for the meeting and only MPs will attend the meeting.
Earlier on Monday, Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Congress parliamentary party (CPP) leader Sonia Gandhi held a meeting with all its new MPs of the party in the national capital. Speaking in the meeting, Sonia Gandhi assured all the new MPs of all the support from the grand old party.

The meeting of the new MPs was called as part of the training cum orientation program and was held at the party’s war room at 15 Gurdwara Raqabganj Road.
Among others who attended the meeting include party Chief Whip K Suresh, Rajeev Gowda and Jairam Ramesh. All three also addresses the new MPs. However, Rahul Gandhi did not address the MPs.
The Congress has 52 MPs in the 17th Lok Sabha, out of which 31 MPs are the first-time parliamentarian.
The meeting comes on the backdrop when Congress is in deep crisis after Rahul Gandhi made his resignation as party president public last week.
