Kerela Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday, while addressing at a seminar on ‘Democracy in Danger’, organised here by journalist associations, said that the results of the Vengara assembly bypoll give a clear indication that BJP should not mess with Kerela.

BJP had landed up in the fourth place in the Vengara assembly bypoll. The CM taunted that even month-long campaigns did not help BJP as the people of Kerala had given them a befitting reply as to what their position is.

This sarcastic comment of the Chief Minister is also a result of the Jan Raksha Yatra carried out in Kerala by BJP protesting against the ruling party in the state, alleging it to playing murder politics. BJP Party President Amit Shah had kick-started the 15-day long Jana Raksha Yatra in Payyannur, Kerela on 3 Oct.Vijayan also accused the RSS and BJP of carrying out malicious campaign to deliberately hamper the image of Kerela and also affect its tourism industry.

During his address, he claimed that the people of other states are being stopped from coming to Kerela. He said that BJP was running a boycott Kerala campaign to bring the tourism of Kerela to its knees. Attacking BJP, Vijayan said that the people behind spreading fake news have no regard for the lives and livelihoods of the people of Kerala.

The Chief Minister also pointed out that by running this campaign and Yatra against the Kerela government, BJP played the politics of communal polarisation, but despite this, the victory of the Indian Union Muslim League had shown the mirror to BJP and showed them, where exactly they stand.

“Despite dirty tricks and attempts for communal polarisation, BJP has been relegated to the fourth position with a much-reduced vote share. This is a pointer and strong warning to the BJP that they can’t mess with Kerala,” said Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
