Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) who has forged an alliance with Aam Aadmi party in Haryana for the mega polls 2019, has on Monday announced its second list of 3 remaining candidates. The party in the latest list announced nominees on Gurugram, Sonepat and Kurukshetra parliamentary seat.

The party has named its youth wing national president Digvijay Singh Chautala from Sonepat parliamentary seat. He, in a run-up to polls, will take on Congress nominee and Former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda. While INLD has named Surender Chikara and BJP has named Ramesh Chandra Kaushik as its nominees from the seat.

The Dushyant Chautala has named Mehmood Khan, a retired global leader of Unilever Innovation Process Development for Gurugram Parliamentary Seat. Khan, a lone Muslim Candidate will take on Congress nominee Captain Ajay Singh Yadav and BJP’s Rao Inderjeet Singh. While INLD is yet to announce its Candidate on Gurugram Lok Sabha Seat.

Khan has been awarded NRI Bharat Samman in 2011.

The AAP partner, JJP has fielded former Zila Parishad member Jai Bhagwan Sharma alias DD Sharma from Kurukshetra. Sharma in a run-up to the mega polls will take on BJP’s Nayab Singh Saini, Congress Candidate Nirmal Singh while INLD has named Arjun Chautala, the son of party secretary-general Abhay Chautala as its nominee from the Kurukshetra Parliamentary Seat.

Both the parties – AAP and JJP have announced its poll tie-up last week with Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) contesting on 7 seats while 3 seats have been offered to Delhi ruling party. Under the poll pact, AAP has been offered to contest the Lok Sabha Seats of Faridabad, Karnal and Ambala (reserved). The Delhi ruling party has announced candidates on all 3 seats allotted to it in a poll pact with JJP.

While JJP with this has now announced its candidates on all 10 seats. JJP in its first list announced candidates on Hisar, Rohtak, Sirsa and Bhiwani-Mahendragarh Parliamentary Seats. JJP Chief Dushyant Chautala is seeking reelection from Hisar Lok Sabha Seat.

Dushyant Chautala is the grandson of former Haryana chief minister Om Prakash Chautala. He had split from INLD and formed its own political outfit. After the spilt, INLD has failed miserably in the 2018 Jind by-poll with its candidate forfeiting his security deposit.

Haryana has a total of 10 Parliamentary seats and is considered a state where BJP has a stronghold. In 2014 General Elections, banking of heavy Modi wave, BJP won 7, INLD bagged 2 seats while INC won a single seat.

Haryana will vote on May 12 in a single phase to elect new parliamentarians on all 10 seats of the state.

The Last date to file nomination is April 23.
