According to the confirmed source, BJP veteran leader Eknath Khadse from Maharashtra is expected to meet the central leadership of the party for his next step. Previously in the recent state elections, he had filed his nomination as an independent candidate from Muktainagar in Jalgaon district after his name was not found in the BJP‘s list of candidates for the Maharashtra polls.

Speaking to News18, one of the closed sources of the minister said, “Khadse has sought an appointment with senior leaders of the BJP in Delhi. The chief talking point of his meeting would be about ending his alienation in the party.” It has been reported that the party’s behavior towards the senior leader has been resulting in unrest in the party’s OBC leadership as he belongs to the Leva Patil community.

Earlier, Eknath Khadse had also issued a warning to the party leadership on Saturday. He said that he will look for other options apart from the saffron party if the humiliation and unfair treatment towards him will continue. He said, “If I continue to face the humiliation of being kept away from decision-making, I will have to think differently.

It has been observed that Eknath Khadse was left out of the core committee’s meetings and decision-making process the party’s state unit. Speaking to News18, he said, “I am not God. I am a human being and have emotions. I don’t want to leave the party for whose growth I worked hard for more than four decades. I am still ready to work for the party.

Eknath Khadse came to the highlight when he resigned as the revenue minister of the former BJP government in 2016 over the land grab allegations against the misuse of his office. He was once considered to be close to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. He is an OBC leader and had served as the revenue minister. He was also the Finance Minister of Maharashtra from 2014 to 2015.
