Current Telangana caretaker CM K. Chandrasekhar Rao has asked the candidates of his party not to move anywhere from their constituencies. Recently, the Congress party has proposed a form of Grand Alliance in the state which might unsettle Rao.
Although Mr Rao had already announced 105 candidates out of the total 119 immediately after the dissolution of the Assembly, these extreme measures might be a result of fear of losing the election.
He has instructed all the candidates to tour the entire constituency and personally meet the voters. Winning the election has apparently become a prestige issue for KCR and hence he is leaving no stone unturned to win the election. He himself is examining the campaign of party candidates in their respective constituencies. His sources are also providing the feedback of the performance of the candidates.
This direction from KCR might have also come owing to the fact that some ministers are visiting other constituencies and districts while neglecting their own. To avoid any unnecessary controversy he has asked the candidates to focus on their own constituencies.
