Days after Pulwama Terror Attack on CRPF Convoy, a Joint Press Conference held by Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF, Lt General Kanwal Jeet Singh Dhillon, Corps Commander of Chinar Corps on Tuesday. Sending a strong message, Lt General said anyone who will pick guns will be eliminated. He also appealed to the mothers to discourage their sons from resorting to violence.

Through you, I would request the mothers of Kashmir to please request their sons who have joined terrorism to surrender and get back to the mainstream. He strongly urged those involved in terror activities to come forward and surrender.
Briefing about the encounter that took place in Pulwama between Security forces and terrorists, he said that the forces did not want any civilian casualties and while safeguarding them, soldiers lost their lives. Hailing Army, He said, ‘I would like to inform that in less than 100 hours of Pulwama terrorist attack, we eliminated have JeM leadership in the valley which was being handled by JeM from Pakistan’.

Taking about the Pulwama Terror Attack that claimed 40 lives of CRPF Personnel, He said, ‘The type of car bomb attack that took place in Pulwama on 14th February, happened after a long time in Kashmir. We will keep all options open to deal with these kinds of attacks’.
He also patted the back of the security forces and gave a special mention to Brigadier Hardeep Singh, who he said was on leave due to injury when the Pulwama encounter took place. He said that Brigadier Singh cut short his leave voluntarily and came to the operation site and led his men from the front.

KJS Dhillion further said, ‘We have leads on the type of explosives used but I can’t share the details as an investigation is underway’. Slamming Pakistan for Pulwama Terror Attack He said, ‘There is no doubt that Pakistan Army & ISI is involved. JeM is a child of the Pakistan Army’.

‘Restrictions which have been put on the movement of civilian traffic when a convoy is moving. We are working out modalities as to how best it can be streamlined so that minimum delay is caused to civilian traffic’ he said in a Joint Presser. He further added, ‘Our focus is clear on counter-terrorism operations. We are very clear that anyone who enters Kashmir Valley will not go back alive’.
Assuring all help to Kashmiris in the Valley and across the country, CRPF Inspector General (Operations) in the Kashmir Valley Zulfiqar Hasan said that the force is taking all measures to keep them safe. “Our helpline-14411 has been helping Kashmiris across the country in wake of this attack. A lot of Kashmiri students have approached this helpline for help all over the country. All Kashmiri children studying outside have been taken care of by security forces,” he said.

IGP Kashmir SP Pani said that there has been a significant dip in recruitment in the recent past. “We have not seen any recruitment in the last three months. The families are playing a huge role in this. We would like to urge the families and the community in curtailing recruitment,” he said.

At least Forty personnel of the Central Reserve Police Force had martyred last Thursday after a JeM operative rammed his explosive-laden car into the 78 bus convoy.
