Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy on Monday chaired his first cabinet meeting and reportedly warned all his cabinet ministers not to indulge in any sort of corrupt practices.

In a six-hour long marathon meeting, the Chief Minister directed all the ministers to study their portfolios and its past performance.

Briefing the media after the cabinet meeting, newly appointed Information and Public relation Minister Perni Venkatramaiah said that Chief Minister made it clear that he will not be going to tolerate any type of corruption.

Venkatramaiah further said that the cabinet today discussed the formation of Judicial Commission and execution of judicial commission’s recommendation. He further added that Chief Minister in the meeting said that the current cabinet ministers are for 2.5 years and after that, a new lot of 25 ministers will be inducted in the state cabinet replacing all current ministers.

Discussing the decisions taken by the State Cabinet in its first meeting, He said that ‘Rytu Bharosa’ scheme will be launched while Village Secretaries would come into existence by October 15 this year.

He further added that the Government has decided to give input subsidy of ₹2000 crore to farmers for the year 2014-2019. ‘The government will form a Farmer Commission and all the interest of farmers loan will be paid by the state government’, he added.

YSRCP Government further decided to establish centralized kitchens for the mid-day meal scheme. The women who serve food under this scheme will be given Rs 3,000 monthly honorarium.

In order to strengthen health facilities in the state, MLAs from their respective constituencies will be appointed as the Chairman of the hospital development committee to ensure better functioning of the hospitals.

The 104, 108 ambulance system will be strengthened, and new vehicles are acquired,” he informed media.

The Cabinet also gave a nod to many announcements of CM Reddy including the hike of ASHA workers’ honorarium from ₹3,000 to ₹10,000. While Cabinet also increased the Health workers honorarium from ₹400 earlier to ₹4,000 per month.

The Cabinet in the first meeting also made other decisions including to form sub-committee for Finance and Transport. Talking about the committees, Cabinet approved the quashing all nominated committees which were formed by Chandrababu Naidu’s previous government. The Cabinet also approved the ‘Amma Odi’ scheme in which every woman having a
white ration card and sending her children to school will get ₹15,000.

Earlier on Saturday, Andhra Pradesh chief minister YS Jaganmohan Reddy allotted portfolios to all the 25 new ministers who were sworn in earlier in the day.

Earlier in the day on Saturday, Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy assumed charge of his office at State Secretariat almost 8 days after taking oath as Chief Minister.

YSRCP Chief Jagan Mohan Reddy on May 30 took oath as Chief Minister of the Andhra Pradesh.

Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP in recently held polls registered a landslide victory in both assembly and national polls in the state. YRSCP won 151 assembly seats out of the 175 assembly seat in the state and unseat Chandrababu Naidu-led TDP Government.

While in national polls, YSRCP bag 22 Lok Sabha Seats out of 25 seats in the state.
