Criticising the attacks on the pilgrims headed to Amarnath, Vishwa Hindu Parishad accused the government of not dealing with the issue strictly. The party also announced that VHP and Bajrang Dal will send 10,000 party workers to the terrorism affected area to boost the morale of the people.

The Konkan Area Unit Chief of VHP, Shankar Rao Gaikar in his statement to the press said that Extremists and Jihadis have made the country a battle ground are attacking daily. It is high time now that the government starts an Anti-terrorist campaign in Kashmir as soon as possible and completely clean the Jihadis who are cowardly attacking the innocent people and killing them.

Attacking the government he said that, the country does not even have a full-time Defence Minister. Referring to the statement of Home minister Rajnath Singh he questioned that Rajnath said that open exemption is given for the elimination of terrorists to the army, but why the army was bound earlier? Rao further demanded that the recruitment of Kashmiri Muslims should be stopped immediately. Supporting his demand he said that, if these Muslims recruitments are not stopped, in the coming years these people will join the armed forces and can work against our own country.

The VHP leaders called the Muslim Madrasas ‘the birthplace of terrorism’  and said that all the Madarsas should be shut down in the valley. They further added that “if students in the Madrasas are given laptops, it should be thoroughly checked because we never know what the students and the teachers are using the laptops for.”

Rao Targeting BJP said that the party should follow the basic ideology of Hinduism and for the betterment of the country should remove the norms of Article 370 entirely from the Constitution of India.
