For the upcoming Haryana polls, Jannayak Janata Party released the second list of candidates on Sunday. The party, led by Dushyant Chautala has decided to contest on all of the 90 assembly seats in the elections.

Haryana will go to the polls on October 21. It has a total of 17 reserved seats. There are 1.82 crore registered voters in the state.

In the second list, the party has announced the name of 15 candidates.

Second List of Candidates-

  1. Bhag Singh- Kalka
  2. Kusum Sherwat- Sadhaura
  3. Mange Ram- Radaur
  4. Prof. Randhir Singh- Pehowa
  5. Rajesh Dhull- Pundari
  6. Bhim Singh Jallala- Nilokheri
  7. Gurdev Ramba- lndri
  8. Kuldeep Malik- Gohana
  9. Rajender Ganeriwala- Sirsa
  10. Sanjay Dalal- Bahadurgarh
  11. Sanjay Kablana- Badli
  12. Upender Kadyia- Beri
  13. Moola Ram- Nangal Chaudhary
  14. Taiyyab Hussain Ghasediya- Nuh
  15. Kuldeep Tewatia- Faridabad

In the first list, the party has released the names of 7 candidates. The list included a former minister and two ex-MLAs.

First List of Candidates-

  1. Devender Kadiyan- Panipat Rural
  2. Anoop Dhanak- Ukalana (SC)
  3. Ram Kumar Gautam- Narnaund
  4. Rao Ramesh Palri- Mahendergarh
  5. Kamlesh Saini- Narnaul
  6. Shyam Sundar- Bawal (SC)
  7. Harsh Kumar- Hathin

The list was released by party’s state unit chief Nishan Singh.

On Sunday, Tej Bahadur Yadav, the BSF soldier who was highlighted on the national media for bringing everyone’s attention towards the unpalatable food given in the army, also joined the Jannayak Janata Party.

Previous collaborations of Jannyak Janata Party-

The party had entered in an alliance with Mayawati’s Bahujan Samaj Party on August 11. But after the failure over the talks of comfortable seat-sharing, the alliance was called off. After snapping off the ties, Mayawati announced that her BSP will contest the Haryana elections alone.

JJP also had an alliance with Aam Aadmi Party in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. However, the duo failed to secure any mark of victory. Neither of the parties could win any single seat. Therefore, both the parties separated their ways after an embarrassing defeat of recent elections.

Important Dates for Haryana Polls-

  • The detailed notification will be issued on September 27.
  • Filing of nominations for will begin from September 27 to October 4.
  • Scrutiny of applications will be done on October 5.
  • Nominations withdrawal can be done till October 7.
  • Haryana Polls for its 90 assembly seats will take place on October 21.
  • Counting of votes will be done on October 24.

In the upcoming elections of Haryana assembly, it will be a tough competition as all of the major parties in the region has decided to contest the battle. AAP party has also released its list for Haryana candidates.

Shiromani Akali Dal has also said that it will fight the elections, though they are finalizing the seats with the saffron party. Bahujan Samaj Party has also decided to jump in the Haryana race.

It is expected that the political heat will be on high since so many parties have decided to fight the Haryana polls.
