PM Modi’s Budget Session Speech in Lok Sabha: ‘Mahamilavat’ jibe at Mahagathabandhan, launches frontal attack on Congress

Prime Minister Narendra Modi speaking in Lok Sabha on Thursday launched a frontal attack on Congress and Opposition parties. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also attacked Rahul Gandhi on Rafale Issue and alleged that the Congress did not want the Indian Air Force to be strong and asked “which companies are they bidding for that they are acting so shamefully”.

PM said, ‘Congress doesn’t’ want our Air Force to be strong, I am leveling a serious allegation here. You want this Rafale deal to be canceled, on whose behest? For which company?’

PM Modi added, ‘Congress insults Army, calls the Army Chief a ‘Gunda’ but it is Modi who is destroying institutions? Congress leaders create stories that Indian Army is planning a coup but it is Modi who is destroying institutions?.

PM Modi also said, ‘Our friends in the Congress see things in two time periods.BC, which is ‘Before Congress’, when nothing happened and the other is AD-‘After Dynasty’- where everything happened’. ‘In 1959, Congress Central Govt dismissed the Communist Govt in Kerala, 60 years now, hope my friends from Kerala remember. So, what sanctity? What respect of institutions? PM Modi said in a hitting reply to allegations of destroying agencies.

In the last 4 1/2 years, India became 6th largest economy from the 10-11th largest. When we reached 11th position then people, who cannot even be seen in opposition now, praised themselves. They felt proud on reaching 11th, why are they saddened when we have reached 6th. PM Modi said while hailing his Government.

Prime Minister in his speech said, ‘You want to know what is my crime for them? That a person born in a poor family is challenging their ‘Sultanate’. In 55 years of their rule, sanitation coverage was around 38% and in our 55 months, it is nearly 98%.’

He also took potshots at Congress and said, ‘See your(Congress) manifestos of 2004,2009 and 2014. In all the manifestos you have promised that within 3 years every house will have electricity. I am amazed at this’.

Taking a jibe at recent Mahagathbandhan rally organized by Mamata Banerjee, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘People have seen the work a Government with an absolute majority can do. They have seen our work. They do not want a ‘Mahamilavat’ Government of those who recently gathered in Kolkata’.

We speak the truth, be it in the country or outside, in Parliament or outside but your ability to listen to truth has diminished,” he said, targeting the opposition. Modi said the Congress had left the Army handicapped and in such a case it was not in a position to carry out surgical strikes.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘In our neighbourhood, everyone is building war capabilities, why didn’t we do it in all these years? This is criminal negligence. Congress doesn’t want a strong Indian Air Force’

Prime Modi while in an attacking mode said, ‘Mahatma Gandhi had back then recommended the dissolution of Congress party. So ‘Congress Mukt Bharat’ is not my slogan but I am just fulfilling the wish of Gandhi ji. Shradhanjanli ke roop mein ye karna hi karna hai, kitni bhi milawat karlo bach nahi sakte.’

Further attacking the Rahul led party, PM Modi said, ‘Two songs became very popular, ‘Baaki kuch bacha to mehengayi maar gayi’ and ‘mehengai dayen khaaye jaat hai’ both these songs were in who’s tenure? First during Indira ji, and second during remote control Govt. Inflation and Congress have a strong bond’

Few of our Congress friends have outsourced their work. They allowed looters to loot. Fugitives are now crying that they left with Rs 9,000 crore but Modi is taking Rs 13,000 crore. Fugitives are now scared and are in hiding, PM Modi said.

Hailing his government, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘In the last 4 years, 6.35 lakh new professionals have come up. You think if a doctor opens a clinic or a nursing home then he will employ only 1 person? Or does a CA only employ 1 person? No’

’99 agricultural schemes which were stuck, are being completed by us now’ He added.

‘India will be friends with both Israel & Palestine. India will be friends with both Saudi Arabia&Iran. Our foreign policy has led to India’s voice becoming stronger on the world stage. Also,I am happy that after our efforts other parties are also reaching out to NRIs, its good’ PM said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi said ‘Today Kharge Sahab was reading some saying of (poet)Basavanna. I want to ask you that you are from Karnataka, why are you remembering him now after so many years? If you had read him 25-30 years back then you would have not taken the wrong path and policies’.

Attacking Congress over Commonwealth Scam, PM said, ‘During the 2010 Commonwealth Games, our players were playing hard to win medals for India. But, for Congress, Commonwealth Games were an opportunity to boost personal wealth of a few in the party’

‘I congratulate all those who will be voting for the first time in the 2019 Parliamentary polls. Those born in the 21st century are now going to be voters and thus, they will play a role in shaping India’s progress. Youth will vote for an honest government. We will outlive all the challenges.’ PM Modi also said in Lok Sabha.

Congress President responded to PM Modi’s ‘Ulta Chor Kotwal Ko Daante’ remark.

Earlier in the day while speaking at the AICC Minority Department National Convention, Rahul Gandhi launching a fresh salvo at Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘I challenge the BJP, let Narendra Modi ji debate with me for 10 minutes on stage. He is scared, he is a ‘darpok’ person’.
