The Congress Working Committee Meeting that originally slated for February 28 is now all set for March 12 where the grand-year-Old party would chart out to strategies to take on Bhartiya Janta Party in the Upcoming Lok Sabha Polls due for April-May.

The Congress Working Committee Meeting – party’s highest Decision making Body will be held in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s bastion Gujarat Ahmedabad. However, this is the first time after 1961 that CWC is taking place in Gujarat.

More than 60 Top Leaders including Congress President Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Manmohan Singh, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mallikarjun Kharge and other top Brass of the party would participate in the highest decision making body meet.

Besides the blueprint for the election battle 2019, the party leaders are expected to discuss and chalk out a draft of the Common Minimum Programme (CMP) of the anti-BJP pan India Front for the General Elections 2019.

Informing about the CWC Meet Manish Doshi, Gujarat Congress Spokesperson said, ‘The CWC meeting will take place on March 12. All our top leaders will be taking part in the meeting’ He further said that after the CWC Meet Priyanka Gandhi along with other top Brass will also address a public rally at Trimandir Ground in Adalaj district of Gujarat.

Earlier on Feb 27, Congress in the wake of the prevailing Tension on the Indo-Pak, Congress postponed the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting and rally scheduled to be held in Ahmedabad for Feb 28. Priyanka Gandhi’s rally was also postponed amid the tension.

Priyanka Gandhi took over charge of the UP East General Secretary is currently busy in reviving her party to take on SPBSP Alliance and BJP. She had last month held a massive Roadshow on Feb 11 along with Jyotiraditya Scindia and Rahul Gandhi. Scindia was appointed as the Party’s In-Charge to look after the party’s affairs in Uttar Pradesh West.
