Gearing for the Lok Sabha and State Polls, the Indian National Congress on Sunday announced its first list of 53 candidates for Arunachal Pradesh State Polls that are slated to be clubbed with General Elections 2019.

Arunachal Pradesh will vote in a single phase on April 11 for its 2 Lok Sabha Seats and 60 State Assembly seats. The Candidates for the State Polls was selected by the Chief Election Committee.

The Congress list for the Andhra State Polls came days after BJP while releasing two lists declared candidates for all 60 Seats in the state. In Arunachal Pradesh, the BJP has named Chief Minister Pema Khandu from Mukto constituency in the state Polls that will be clubbed with the General Elections 2019.

General Elections are slated for April-May this year that would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Election Commission had on Sunday declared schedule for General Elections 2019.

The Counting of votes for the mega battle of ballots will take place on May 23, four days after last round of polling.
