The Indian National Congress on Wednesday issued a whip to all its Lok Sabha MPs directing them to meet every Tuesday at 10:15 at Room Number 25 at the Parliament during the ongoing session. While in another whip issued by the party, it has directed all its MPs to meet every working day on the same place.

The ongoing Budget Session of Parliament that began on June 17 will continue till July 26.

Both the Houses of Parliament – Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha – are currently facing ruckus over past few days with opposition disrupting the transactions over Karnataka crisis.

Earlier on Monday, Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi and Congress parliamentary party (CPP) leader Sonia Gandhi held a meeting with all its new MPs of the party in the national capital. Speaking in the meeting, Sonia Gandhi assured all the new MPs of all the support from the grand old party.

The meeting of the new MPs was called as part of the training cum orientation program and was held at the party’s war room at 15 Gurdwara Raqabganj Road.

The Congress has 52 MPs in the 17th Lok Sabha, out of which 31 MPs are the first-time parliamentarian.

The whip comes on the backdrop when Congress is in deep crisis after Rahul Gandhi made his resignation as party president officially.
