Hours after announcing Poll tie-up with Ana Dal faction, Congress on Sunday announced another alliance in Uttar Pradesh to take on BSP–SP and BJP. Congress State President Raj Babbar on Sunday while Addressing the press announced that Party inked an alliance with Jan Adhikar Party and offered 5 Lok Sabha Seats including Jhansi, Basti, Etah, Chandoli among others.

The Congress on Sunday announced that it will leave seven Lok Sabha seats for the SP, BSP and RLD alliance in Uttar Pradesh. Raj Babbar said, ‘We are leaving 7 seats vacant for SP, BSP and RLD. These include Mainpuri, Kannauj, Firozabad and whatever seats Mayawati ji & RLD’s Jayant ji and Ajit Singh contest from.
He further said that Congress has packed an agreement with Mahan Dal, and their candidates will contest on our symbol in the General Election.

The Fresh tie-up with Jan Adhikar came a day after it announced its poll alliance with Apna Dal Faction. Rahul Gandhi led party inked Poll alliance with Apna Dal Faction led by Krishna Patel and offered it two Lok Sabha Seat of Gonda and Pilibhit in a run-up to the General Elections.
After being dropped from Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party, Congress in Uttar Pradesh is reaching to small parties to gather support for the mega battle of ballots 2019. The tie-up with Apna Dal, Jan Adhikar Party, Mahan Dal came amidst report suggesting SP Rebel Shivpal Yadav’s PSPL may join hands with Congress in ‘UP Hunt’.
Shivpal Singh Yadav, estranged leader of Samajwadi Party and once a minister in Akhilesh Yadav led government in the state has floated his own party last year, Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party (Lohia). If reports to be believed PSPL likey to join trucks with Rahul Gandhi-led party in Uttar Pradesh.
Responding to the Congress move of leaving 7 seats for SP-BSP-RLD, BSP Supremo said ‘Congress party is absolutely free to contest #LokSabhaElections2019 on all 80 seats independently in UP. General Elections are slated for April-May this year that would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Election Commission had on Sunday declared schedule for General Elections 2019.
Polls in 80 Lok Sabha seats of the state will spread on all seven phases.
Congress has already started declaring Candidates and has released four lists with over 10-15 candidates from Uttar Pradesh.
