The Indian National Congress will hold its parliamentary party meeting today in the national capital. Congress Parliamentary Party Leader Sonia Gandhi will chair the meet and is expected to make a strategy for the ongoing parliament session.

Earlier, Sonia Gandhi had on June 18 chaired a meeting of the party’s parliament Strategy group. Sources believed that the party deliberate upon the common agenda to coordinate with other opposition parties on the floor.

Congress President Rahul Gandhi was also present in the meeting which was attended many top brasses of the party. Ghulam Nabi AzadAnand Sharma, AK Antony, Jairam RameshP ChidambaramAdhir Ranjan Chowdhury, K Suresh were among those were present in the meeting.

Speaking to media after the meeting, Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury said that Ghulam Nabi Azad briefed everyone about the discussion held in the all-party meeting on Sunday.

‘We also held discussions over various key issues related to the ongoing parliament session and we will also hold discussions with other opposition parties to coordinate with a common plan to corner the government in Parliament.

In the first session of the 17th Lok Sabha that begins from June 17, the new government plans aims to convert 10 ordinances into law.

Earlier Congress Leader Anand Sharma hints that party may voice up against the ordinance culture. Sharma, as quoted by ANI, said, ‘Important Bills should be sent to parliament committees before presenting in the house. The government should respect the parliamentary process.

Sources claimed that Congress is trying to coordinate with other opposition parties and make a common agenda to corner the ruling party in the Lok Sabha Session.
