While inaugurating several projects in Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir Governor Satya Pal Malik suggested the central government on how to bring back POK (Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir) area into India.

He said that India does not need to engage in a war with the POK region, rather carry on the developmental works here in Jammu and Kashmir area. He hoped that the works being done in Jammu and Kashmir region will reach out to the people of POK and that will fuel their aspirations of reaching out to India.

Satya Pal Malik, as quoted by ANI, said “If we can give people respect and bring so much development here that its shine reaches even PoK, I guarantee you that there will be a rebellion in PoK within a year and you will get it without going to any war. Every citizen of PoK will start by saying that he wants to go to Kashmir.

The official also lashed out at the idea os snatching POK area. He said if India has to take away POK, it should do it with its development measures. He also lauded the efforts of the Narendra Modi government in fulfilling the aspirations of the Kashmiri population. The official also informed the public about various steps taken by the administration for improving the lives of citizens in the region.

Malik also urged his countrymen to treat Kashmiri people with love and respect. The event also saw the presence of Union Minister RK Singh. Satya Pal Malik thanked him for reducing the time for laying Leh-Nubra transmission line from 3 years to 18 months.

He also emphasized on the hydel power potential of the region and said that if harnessed properly, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh regions can also export it to other states.
