india vs china

The ongoing spat between India and China in Doklam region might see an end soon as both the countries are now calling their troops back. In a statement today, Ministry of External Affairs announced this to the public.

In a statement issued on Monday morning, MEA states that the ongoing rift between both the countries has reached an agreement and both the countries have started to call their troops back from the disputed site. FYI, India and China were both in a situation of a faceoff in Doklam region where the border of 3 countries, India, China and Bhutan meet.

Last few days have seen the tension building in both the nations with continuous comments and tough stand over the matter. However, despite the tension, India and China maintained strong diplomatic relations and according to the ministry statement, the same came in handy to address the issue.

The latest announcement comes just before the BRICS summit to be held in China early next month. There were speculations beforehand that the two countries might reach to a conclusion before Narendra Modi arrives in China and the same has happened with the latest announcement. BRICS summit will see the leaders of nations including Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
