On the release of a book on PM Narendra Modi titled  “The Making of a Legend” written by Sulabh International founder Bindeshwar Pathak, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat on Wednesday talked about the journey of Narendra Modi, from being an RSS member to becoming the Chief Minister of Gujarat and finally the Prime Minister of India.

Bhagwat said that now India will surely flourish as now it has got an able ‘thekedar’ (contractor). He also told that what has been talked about in the past 70 years is now being done because it is being executed now under the leadership of Narendra Modi.

Further talking about the political journey of Modi he said that the remarkable thing about his journey is that the days before he became the CM of Gujarat are not highlighted and this is the main reasons of his days of CM and PM are coming into focus. “If we give it some thought, we will realise that it was his ‘aprasiddh’ (not famous) journey till he became the chief minister that led to such brightness (ujjwal) surrounding his journey as chief minister and prime minister,” Bhagwat said.

Further praising Modi Bhagwat said that publicity and fame have not impacted Modi, he is the same worker and volunteer, that he was before he became the CM. He also listed down the attributes of Modi saying that Modi is a hard worker, courageous, patient, wise and a strong leader. Modi considers that no work is impossible and takes a decision as the requirement of the time and situation.

Giving advice to the Indian leaders Bhagwat said that the Indian leaders should follow the Dharma and only then the country can flourish. “Bharat ke netritava me dharma aayega tabhi desh ka kalyan hoga,” Bhagwat said and defined “dharma” as “truth, compassion and inner conscience which can be attained only through dedication”.

BJP President Amit Shah, Union Ministers Manoj Sinha, Arjun Meghwal, Vijay Sampla, BJP Vice President Om Mathur and Puducherry LG Kiran Bedi and some diplomats were also present for the release of the book.
