“Modi’s enthusiasm for Yoga is an inspiration for me”, says PM Netanyahu. Through this statement, PM Netanyahu has made a confession that PM Modi is a true inspiration for him to introduce yoga into his daily routine. This is an addition to Modi’s content after UN declared 21 June as International Yoga Day. Over 190 countries have supported this move of having a special day for yoga.
PM Netanyahu related Yoga postures to a link between India and Israel. He said that he is following Modi’s advice of starting yoga at a lower level. He further mentioned that while doing Tadasana (yoga posture), when he turns his head to the right, India is the first country that he sees. When Modi does his Vasisthasana and turns his head to the left, the first nation that he sees is Israel.
Narendra Modi is currently on a trip to Israel. This is the first ever time that an Indian Prime Minsiter has visited the country while being in office. Both the countries are expected to sign a number of agreements on education, health and research. Yesterday, when he reached Israel, he was welcomed by the Israeli PM with a message in Hindi.
