Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday inaugurated the two-day ‘UP Investors Summit’—the first such event by the Yogi Adityanath government.
President Ram Nath Kovind will attend the valedictory function on the second day.
The summit is aimed at showcasing investment opportunities and potential across various sectors in Uttar Pradesh. The mega event is being organised to bring together heads of states and governments, ministers, leaders from the corporate world, senior policy makers, heads of international institutions and academicians from around the world to further the cause of economic development in the state and promote cooperation to pave way for better investments, according to an official statement.

Uttar Pradesh has signed 1,045 pacts worth Rs4.28 trillion on the first day of the UP investors’ summit, CM Yogi Adityanath said on Wednesday. “It is a matter of pride for the state that fortune-500 companies are participating in this summit. I want to tell you all that till now we have signed 1,045 MoUs worth Rs4.28 lakh crore. I have recently presented budget of Rs4.28 lakh crore and the figure of MOUs signed is the same… We are heading towards new UP,” Adityanath said while addressing the summit in Lucknow.
