Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal has on Thursday reiterated that a vote for Congress in the upcoming Lok Sabha election will ensure BJP‘s victory. He asserted his party [AAP] will “fulfil its duty” of defeating the ruling party at the Centre on all seven parliamentary seats in Delhi.

Addressing a meeting of party office-bearers from South Delhi Lok Sabha seat, AAP National Chief Arvind Kejriwal said, “AAP will fulfill its duty of defeating the BJP on all seven Lok Sabha seats in Delhi.”

Kejriwal’s assertion has come amid speculation that the Aam Aadmi Party may ally with the Congress to challenge the BJP in parliamentary polls later this year. Earlier on January 6, AAP Chief made similar remarks and warned people of voting Congress.

“The surveys reveal BJP is going to lose 10 percent of its vote share this time and you need to tell people that if these votes are polled by AAP, it will win all seven seats in Delhi by scoring 43 percent votes. You have to explain to people that voting for Congress means the victory of BJP,” Delhi CM Kejriwal told AAP workers.

The AAP chief will hold Lok Sabha constituency-wise meetings of Delhi workers till January 16.

His remarks against Congress are crucial as both parties reportedly wish to tie-up for the Lok Sabha 2019. However, none of them have stated any official statement in the positive directions of the Coalition nor rejecting the possibilities.

There is a buzz that with the resignation of Ajay Maken from the President of Delhi Pradesh Congress Committee (DPCC) and HS Phoolka from AAP, the way to cement the alliance is cleared. HS Phoolka, after leaving AAP, asserts to reconstruct 2011 Anna Movement

However, it is been claimed that with the appointment Sheila Dixit as the Delhi State chief speculations in this direction will be cleared soon. Sheila Dixit has recently held a meeting with party’s three working presidents to discuss the roadmap for the upcoming Lok Sabha 2019 Polls. Dixit is expected to take charge as the Chief from Jan 16.

On Jan 2, AAP Leader Gopal Rai while addressing a presser said that his party is ready to enter into an alliance in a bid to defeat the ruling BJP.

The national executive of AAP that met on December 29 has decided to contest all the seats in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Goa, and Chandigarh, totaling 33, in the Lok Sabha elections 2019.

However, reports about both, AAP and INC been in backchannel talks are talking rounds since long.
