In a meet with the press on Sunday, Jana Sena Party leaders announced that they would contest the local body elections in full swing pep up their cadre for the elections slated for 2024.

Jana Sena Party leaders P. Ram Mohan Rao and Political Advisory Committee Convener Madasu Gangadharam said that they would surely contest the local body elections to be held in the state and strengthen their party for the 2024 general elections.

“JSP will contest Panchayat and Zilla Parishad elections. The party will prove its strength in local body elections too as people are fed up with the existing parties,” said P. Hari Prasad, Jana Sena leader.

Pawan Kalyan, leader of Jana Sena Party, is an actor-turned-politician who brought his party to limelight in 2014. This is the first election the party will be contesting. Contrary to Kalyan’s statement in 2014 that they will contest the 2019 general elections in full swing in all the 175 assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh, he now goes on to state that he will contest the 2024 elections after prepping up his party into mainstream politics this local body elections.

Recently JSP MP from Nandyal, SPY Reddy was in the news for CBI raids being conducted in his house defaulting loan of Rs.500 crore from State Bank of India as well as Syndicate Bank. The raids continued till late night even when he was admitted in a hospital in Banjara Hills in at Hyderabad owing to ill-health since the 9th of April.
