Janta Dal (Secular) or JD(S) General Secretary Danish Ali on Saturday shifted loyalties to Mayawati‘s Bahujan Samaj Party. The Former General Secretary Ali has recently held negotiations with Congress on behalf of JD(S) for a poll tie-up between the two in Karnataka for the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls.

Indian National Congress and Janta Dal (Secular) on Wednesday early this week finally sealed its pre-poll alliance to take on Bhartiya Janta Party in Karnataka in the Upcoming General Elections 2019. As per the statement released by the Rahul Gandhi-led party, Congress will on 20 seats while HD Deve Gowda-led party will contest on remaining 8 parliamentary seats.

If reports to be believed, Danish Ali might contest the Lok Sabha Polls on BSP ticket from Amroha Lok Sabha Seat. Ali said after joining trucks with the BSP that he wants to work with “strong leadership”.

He said as quoted by ANI, JD(S) doesn’t have a large organizational structure in Uttar Pradesh. Despite all my efforts, I could not have raised it in my ‘Janmabhoomi, my ‘Karmabhoomi’.

He added, ‘The way in which there is a threat to the constitution today, it has become essential to use our energy with strong leadership.

He further said that ‘turncoat’ after taking blessings from JD(S) Chief HD Deve Gowda. He said “I never asked for anything even when I was in JD(S), it was upto HD Deve Gowda ji to decide what work to assign me. I have come here after taking the blessings & permission of Deve Gowda ji. I will work wherever Behen ji assigns me”

He was among those who played a crucial part in adding BSP in last year State Polls in Karnataka. A 54-year Politician entered politics in 1994 as the national president of the Janata Dal student wing. He was a student of Jamia Millia Islamia.

He has also played an important part in stitching an alliance with Congress after state polls that led to a Coalition Government of which HD Kumaraswamy is a Chief Minister.
