Bhartiya Janta Party’s working president Jagat Prakash Nadda has called a meeting of party’s general secretaries on Friday (20 December).
It is expected that the leader will interact with the secretaries o the matter of the party’s program to train its cadres on the Citizenship Act issue. Earlier, the saffron party has announced to train its members so that they can prevent the spread of false information regarding the Citizenship Act.
Nation has been witnessing massive protests over the citizenship Act. On December 15, Jamia Milia Islamia University students were beaten up during the alleged demonstration. Earlier on Tuesday (December 17), few areas including the Seelampur region also saw civil unrest.
BJP will be holding six zonal workshops as of now. The selected six venues are New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Guwahati, and Lucknow. It has also been reported that the program has already begun.
In the scheduled meeting, JP Nadda would also discuss the progress of ongoing organizational elections of the party for the various posts.
On the related note, the Congress party has also called a meeting of its leaders at the interim president Sonia Gandhi‘s house on Thursday. the meeting will see the discussion over the “unrest across the country on CAA issue.”
