Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) working president JP Nadda on Friday presented a 50-day report card of Narendra Modi-led Central Government. Briefing the media on the occasion, JP Nadda said its first 50 days have been exemplary and the government has taken several steps to improve the lives of people.

He added, ‘There is a tradition that report card of any government is released after 100 days but Modi ji has decided to put forth the 50-day report card before the country. The most important decision taken by the government is that by the year 2022, 1.95cr houses will be built with a pure drinking water facility.

Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters in the national capital, JP Nadda added, by releasing the report card on 50 days instead of 100 days, “now we have started it at the halfway mark”.

Hailing his government for taking crucial decisions, JP Nadda added that decisions such as tap water to every household by the year 2024 are the steps that will touch the lives of millions at grassroots level.

He also praised the government decided for further expansion of rural roads networks under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana. He said that the decision will improve rural road connectivity.

He also talked about the government’s decision to give pension to small traders and scholarships to kids of martyrs who were from paramilitary forces.

‘Small shopkeepers whose annual turnover is less than 1.5 million, they will be linked to the Prime Minister’s Scheme. About 30 million small businessmen are going to benefit from this decision’, he added.

Talking about no tolerance for corruption, JP Nadda added, ‘The Government of India has retired many IRS officers even before their term for being involved in Corruption. It shows the policy of zero tolerance against the corruption of Modi Government’.

Talking about the productivity of the parliament, JP Nadda claimed, ‘The productivity of the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha has been improved. It is possible only because political will power’.

The Union government has decided to extend the ongoing Parliament session till August 7. Earlier on Thursday, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi placed a proposal regarding extension of the session before the House and Lok Speaker Om Birla then announced that session has been extended till August.

The move is seen as an attempt by the government to get a passage for pending government legislators.

As per the PRS Legislative Research, NGO working and tracking the functioning of Parliament, the productivity of the 17th Lok Sabha is highest for any session in the past 20 years. While PRS Legislative Research Data further claimed that the productivity of the Rajya Sabha is 98%.

It should be noted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led Bharatiya Janata Party, on May 23 scripted history by bagging 303 seats on its own in the national polls. Along with its allies, it took its tally to 352 Lok Sabha Seats out of 542 Seats were national polls held in April-May in seven phases.
