Congress leader Jyotiraditya Scindia removed his party posts from his Twitter bio. His new bio only says ‘public servant and cricket enthusiast’. It is not the first time he has done so but has been sulking for the top post in the Indian Congress Party. During Rajasthan Assembly Elections, he was in the line to be the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh but was shown backdoor with Kamal Nath taking the front seat as the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh.

Scindia clarified his actions and said, “A month back I had changed my bio on Twitter. On people’s advice, I had made my bio shorter. Rumors regarding this are baseless.”

The move has been shunned by Digvijay Singh and Kamal Nath, both the leaders pushing for the Ajay Singh, son of late leader Arjun Singh for the post of Madhya Pradesh Congress President post, said a source.

Former Haryana Congress President Ashok Tanwar who left Congress has said that young leaders were being “politically finished” by the seniors.

Congress spokesperson Bhupendra Gupta said, “Scindia is a senior and respectable leader of the Congress and such minor issues should not be blown out of proportion.” Refraining from making any further comments, Gupta added that the leader himself “could shed light on the change in his Twitter status.”

“Scindia has been ignored in the Congress for long, but I have no knowledge if he is joining the saffron party,” said BJP’s National General Secretary Kailash Vijayvargiya.

Scindia is said to be closer to former Congress President Rahul Gandhi. He resigned from the post of General Secretary after Rahul Gandhi resigned from the Congress President’s post.

There are speculations on Jyotiraditya Scindia joining BJP but, there hasn’t been any official word on Scindia’s resignation from Congress Party.
