Actor-turned-Politician Kamal Haasan on Tuesday walked into Aam Aadmi Party Chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal to discuss the prevailing political situations in the Country ahead of the Lok Sabha Polls 2019, an AAP Functionary told media.

Aam Aadmi Party MLA Somnath Bharti speaking about Haasan’s Visit said he had a courtesy meeting with Arvind Kejriwal.

However, Sources said that Aam Aadmi Party is in touch with Kamal Haasan over the possibility of supporting his party in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry that combine sends 40 (39+1) Parliamentarians to the Lok Sabha.

Sources further claimed that Aam Aadmi Party could extend its support or may also have an alliance with his party.

AAP Official Twitter Handle shared the pictures of the meeting between AAP Chief and Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM)’s Kamal Haasan.

Hasan launched his party Makkal Needhi Melisma in Tamil Nadu last year. Kejriwal was one of the political leaders who attended the launch of Haasan’s party in Madurai. Also, the Delhi chief minister had visited Haasan earlier coaxing him to join politics.

Kamal Haasan who has floated in his own political outfit Makkal Needhi Maiam (MNM) on February last year in Tamil Nadu, has recently launched its party in Puducherry on January 30. MNM will contest Lok Sabha on 40 seats – Tamil Nadu has 39 seats in Lok Sabha while Puducherry has a single seat.

In December last year, Kamal Haasan had announced that his party would contest the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019.

He has recently announced that his party would not align with tainted groups and had hinted of going all ‘alone’ in upcoming Lok Sabha Polls 2019. However, earlier Hasan sought said ‘It has been decided that Party will contest on all 40 Lok Sabha Seats in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry in an alliance will like-minded parties. We will align with Parties having the same ideology and having a focus on Development of Tamil Nadu‘, Haasan said reportedly.

Earlier on January last month, AAP announced its support to Actor-turned-Politician Prakash Raj. Kejriwal after the meeting with Raj said, ‘need people like him in Parliament’.
