Speaking at the sideline of an event in Coimbatore, Actor turned Politician Kamal Haasan predicted hung assembly after the mega battle of ballots 2019. He further said that he thinks a third front will crucial role after Lok Sabha Polls 2019.
Kamal Haasan’s Makkal Needhi Maiam is contesting on al 40 Lok Sabha Seats of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. MNM Chief Haasan has however opted out of the poll race. The party is also contesting the by-elections of 18 Assembly Seats.
Haasan’s comment about the third front came in Coimbatore when he was launching the Constituency Specific Manifesto for the Parliamentary Seat.
He further asserted that his party will play an important role in the next third government after Lok Sabha Polls 2019. He also said his party will do well in by-polls of 18 Assembly that are slated to be clubbed with General Elections.
Haasan had earlier announced that he is open to a tie-up with like-minded parties.

Kamal Haasan’s party in a run-up to the mega polls 2019 will take on the two most powerful parties in the state – AIADMK and DMK who had already entered into a poll pact with BJP and Congress respectively.
The AIADMK led alliance have – AIADMK, BJP, PMK, KMDK, Puthiya Neethi Katchi, and NR Congress. While DMK will lead a Mega Opposition coalition in the Tamil Nadu and Puducherry comprising – Congress, CPI(M), CPI, MDMK, VCK, IUML, KMDK and IJK.
Tamil Nadu has total 39 Lok Sabha Seats while Puducherry has a single Lok Sabha seat.
Tamil Nadu will vote to April 18 for Lok Sabha as well as on 18 by-elections seats.
