Amidst on going the tussle and politics over IT raids at Madhya Pradesh CM’s close aides, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath along with his son Nakul Nath on Tuesday filed nominations in Chhindwara District of Madhya Pradesh. Kamal Nath who appointed as the CM of the state has filed nomination from Chhindwara Assembly Constituency to become a member of Legislative Assembly.

While his son, Nakul Nath has filed his nominations from Parliamentary Seat of Chhindwara, a seat which was held by his father Kamal Nath for over 9 times since 1980. Chhindwara has always been a stronghold of the Congress and the party faced a single defeat on the seat in 1997 by-elections.

In 2014 General Elections, Kamal Nath won the seats with over one lakh votes margin by defeating BJP’s Ch. Chandrabhan Kuber Singh.

Nakul Nath in a run-up to the general elections 2019 will take on BJP’s Nathan Shah.

Kamal Nath along with his son Nakul Nath also held a roadshow in Chhindwara on the occasion.

Kamal Nath and son filed nominations in Madhya Pradesh, while Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot’s Vaibhav filed nomination in the desert State.

Ashok Gehlot’s Son Vaibhav Gehlot in a run-up to the national elections 2019 has filed nominations from Jodhpur Parliamentary Seat. Vaibhav will take on BJP‘s Sitting MP Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in the mega battle of ballots. Shekhawat had in 2014 general elections defeated Congress’s Chandresh Kumar with over 4 Lakh Votes.

Vaibhav’s father Ashok Gehlot had represented the parliamentary constituency three times in 1991, 1996 and 1998.

Speaking to media after filing nomination papers, Vaibhav Gehlot asserted Confidence of victory from the parliamentary seat. He said he is getting a good response from voters. ‘ I know and understand the issues of Jodhpur quite well, their needs, and issues related to the Lok Sabha Seat, I am prepared with all plans of how issues of water supply and electricity are to be addressed. I am going to win elections, he said.

General Elections are slated for April-May this year that would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Election Commission had on March 10 declared schedule for General Elections 2019.

All 29 Seats of Madhya Pradesh will go polls in 4 phases: April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19. In 2014 General elections, amidst heavy Modi wave, BJP swept MP with 27 seats, while Congress manage to bag only 2 seats in the state. Chhindwara Parliamentary Seat will go to polls on April 29.

While all 25 seats of Rajasthan will poll in 2 phases: April 29 and May 6. In 2014 General elections, amidst heavy Modi wave, BJP swept Rajasthan bagging all 25 seats in the state. Jodhpur parliamentary seats will go to polls on April 29.
