After the massive opening with farm loan waiver, Madhya Pradesh CM Kamal Nath throws another googly by introducing a special provision for the industries. It promises incentives for the industries if they hire 70% staff from Madhya Pradesh.

Addressing the media for the first time after being throned as the Chief Minister, he said, “Our schemes of providing incentives of investment will only be imposed
after 70% people from MP get employment.”

He added, “People from states like Bihar and UP come here and local people don’t get jobs. I have signed the file for this.”

In the press conference, he told the media, “After taking over, the first file I signed was the promise we have made in our Vachan Patra (manifesto) to farmers that loans up to Rs 2 lakh will be waived. I signed this file to keep the promise of Congress.”

The Congress-led state government immediately issued a notice declaring that the state administration has decided to write off the short-term loan of eligible farmers drawn from nationalized and cooperative banks up to the limit of Rs 2 lakh as on March 31, 2018.

Also, the Congress President Rahul Gandhi declared, “We will not let PM Modi sleep until loans of all farmers are waived.”

Kamal Nath also announced setting up of four garment parks in MP in a move to generate job opportunities for youth. He has also increased the financial aid provided under the ‘Kanyadan Yojana’ from the present Rs 26,000 to Rs 51,000. ‘Kanyadan Yojana’ covers the families having girls of marriageable age.

He said, “There is a need to increase economic activities in Madhya Pradesh.”
