Responding to the Mayawati threat of pull out, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Wednesday said that all the parties are fighting against Bharatiya Janata Party and a misunderstanding with BSP Supremo Mayawati will be sorted soon in the state.

Kamal Nath’s comment came a day after Mayawati showed her displeasure and threaten to reconsider the support given to Congress in Madhya Pradesh. She was responded irked to her party candidate Lokendra Singh Rajpur joining the Congress to help Jyotiraditya Scindia in Guna.

Mayawati took to Twitter on Tuesday and said, ‘Congress also not less than BJP in misuse of the government machinery. The BSP candidate in the MP Fold Lok Sabha constituency has been forcibly threatened by the Congress, but the BSP will fight on its own symbol and respond to it and the Congress will now reconsider the continuation of support to the government’, she said in Hindi.

Mayawati’s tweet came hours after BSP-SP joint Candidate from Guna Lok Sabha Seat Lokendra Singh Rajput joined Indian National Congress and announced to back Jyotiradutya Scindia for the mega polls 2019.

Jyotiraditya Scindia who is seeking his fifth term from the Guna-Shivpuri Parliamentary Seat had on April 20 filed his nomination.

The Congress in December last year won 113 seats in the state polls in the 230-member assembly, three short of the majority mark of 116.

However, With the support of 3 MLAs from the BSP and Samajwadi Party and four independents, it has 120 in the assembly. If Mayawati pulls out, that number will come down to 118. The Bharatiya Janata Party facing anti-incumbency of 15 years managed to bag 109 seats in the state.

Lok Sabha Polls 2019 has already begun and would spread across seven phases from April 11 to May 19. Counting of Votes and Results for the mega Battle of ballots will be announced on May 23 four days after the 7th phase of voting.

Voting in 29 seats of Madhya Pradesh will be held across in 4 phases: April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19. Guna Lok Sabha Seat will vote on May 12.
