The Congress Government in Madhya Pradesh on Friday rolled out its flagship Scheme ‘Yuva Swabhiman Yojana‘ scheme, under which unemployed urban youths will get 100 days’ employment and a stipend of around ₹13,000, a promise that the party has made in the poll manifesto in the run-up to the state Polls in November-December last.

Chief Minister Kamal Nath launched the scheme in Bhopal that aimed to impart skill Development Training to youths across the state. Chief Minister on the launch event said, ‘We are preparing a new roadmap for the Development of better future of the state (Madhya Pradesh), under which steps will be taken to improve the development of the agriculture and employment to the youths

Kamal Nath while hailing his state Government in the state said ‘In less than two months after coming to power, the new government has waived loans of farmers for strengthening agriculture. For providing employment to youths, the Mukhyamantri Yuva Swabhiman Yojana has been launched’.

He added, that ‘youths don’t need slogans rather they want jobs. We have to bring in the Investment and that will create jobs’.

The chief minister added that if the purchasing power of farmers does not increase, it will have a negative impact on the commercial activities and ultimately the state will suffer in terms of overall development. “In order to strengthen the farmers, we are initiating the process of waiving their loans by handing over relevant documents to them from today.

Chief Minister added that Under this scheme, youths will get Rs 4000 per months during 100 days of employment, which is nearly ₹13,500 in 100 days. CM added, During this scheme, they will be given skill Development Training so that they can become Independent.

At the Launch Event, Chief Minister Kamal Nath also presented Certificates to 12 persons, including women who are beneficiaries of the employment scheme.

An official said each youth enrolled under the scheme will get a total of ₹13,500 for the 100 days period.

Earlier this Month, State Minister Jaivardhan Singh addressed the media and hailed his government over the scheme. Jaivardhan Singh, son of Congress Stalwart Digvijay Singh addressed the media on Feb 6 when the State Government has announced the scheme. “Under the Yuva Swabhiman Yojna, youths between the ages of 21 to 30 having an annual family income of less than ₹2 lakh will be eligible,” Jaivardhan Singh told media persons.

He added that more than 1.5 Lakh Youths have till date applied for this scheme. He added that State Government will also invite Companies to provide full-time employment to the trained youths under the Scheme.

State Minister for Public Relations PC Sharma said soon after Congress stormed to power in the state it has till now fulfilled 26 promises that the party has promised in the Vachan Patra( Poll Manifesto).

On the occasion, the chief minister also launched a number of development projects, including multi-level parking, ‘smart bins’ for a collection of garbage and vacuum road sweepers.
