High on his runaway victory, TRS Chief K Chandrasekhar Rao made a remark on his Andhra Pradesh counterpart Chandrababu Naidu, “When one attends a birthday party, don’t they give return gifts? I will most certainly give Naidu a return gift. If he came to do some political activity in Telangana, shouldn’t I be returning the same gesture? Otherwise, he will think that Telangana people have no culture.”
He went on to declare, “I will go to Vijayawada and expose Chandrababu Naidu.”
On Prajakutami facing a huge loss at the elections, he mocked Naidu by saying “Naidu is in a pathetic situation today, so I will not talk much about it. He’s a poor man.”
On Naidu entering Telangana politics, he questioned why he had to ‘interfere’ in Telangana when he had his own state. He added, “The Congress party got him hoping to change their fortunes but you know what happened.”
Mentioning that TRS got over one lakh congratulation SMS and WhatsApp messages on the day of Election results, he announced, “I will definitely involve in AP politics.”
He also slammed Modi for saying that there was no power supply in Telangana which was a “complete lie”.
He questioned, “He[Modi] came to Nizamabad and talked about drains and roads. Is that what a Prime Minister should be speaking.”
On PM’s denial of giving Telangana an option to increase reservations, he said, “Is the country his jagir?”
He added, “Nowhere does the constitution say that reservations should not be more than 50 percent. The Centre should have got the SC ruling reversed.”
Coming down heavily on both BJP and Congress, he said, “Why is there terrorism and Naxalism in the country? It is because the Congress and BJP failed. The Centre should concentrate on what matters to the country.”
