Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday made an objectionable statement regarding Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing a public meeting in Kalaburagi, Kharge said, “PM Modi is like a ‘poisonous snake’, you might think it’s poison or not. If you lick it, you’re dead…”
The Bharatiya Janata Party hit back at Kharge for his statement on Modi. He said that the desperation is showing that the Congress is losing ground in Karnataka.
Referring to the objectionable statement of the Congress chief, BJP IT cell head Amit Malviya said that we know what started and ended with Sonia Gandhi’s ‘merchant of death’. He said the desperation shows that the Congress is losing ground in Karnataka and it knows it.
Union Minister Anurag Thakur has also targeted Kharge. He said that the Congress made Mallikarjun Kharge the party president, but no one believes him to be so. Posters and banners still seem to belong to the Gandhi family. That’s why Kharge thinks that what objectionable statement should I make that is ugly than the statement given by Sonia Gandhi. He said that the Congress leaders should be ashamed and should apologize to the country. The people of the country have elected Narendra Modi with absolute majority not once but twice.

Anurag Thakur said that Congress is losing elections one after the other. Your leaders go abroad and conspire with foreign forces and seek help from them and then you are doing the work of humiliating the most popular leader of the country. He said that if you can’t win the election, at least stop using abusive language. Perhaps the condition of Congress has become like that of a fish without water. They are craving for power. That’s why they are using such words.
Kharge’s clarification has come to the fore after all-round criticism for his objectionable statement on Prime Minister Modi. Kharge said that it was not for Prime Minister Modi, but for the ideology of the BJP. He said that I never said this personally for PM Modi, reports news agency ANI.
