Rashtriya Janta Dal Cheif and former Chief Minister of Bihar, Lalu Prasad Yadav on Thursday, taking a dig at the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Yogi Adityanath said that Lord Ram will punish the BJP as it has been doing politics in his name.

Yogi Adityanath, celebrating Diwali in Ayodhya lighted 1.7 lakh lamps equal to the population of the town and announced projects worth Rs 133 crores. Reacting to this, Lalu Prasad Yadav said that “It is wrong and unethical to play politics in the name of Lord Ram.”

He attacked Yogi for doing political drama in the name of Ram. He said that “everyone was free to practise his or her religion and offer prayers, but BJP leaders, particularly Yogi, have been doing political drama. People understand this drama in the name of religion.”

Attacking the Prime Minister, Narendra Modi he said that Lord Ram will punish him also as Lord Ram is in the heart of all the people in the country and he has made the life of the poor more miserable and now they are struggling for survival, after Modi announced demonetisation.

“The BJP-led central government has made life difficult for the poor due to demonetization. Poor people are struggling for survival… For this Lord Ram would finish off the RSS and the BJP because Lord Ram is in the heart of all the people in the country,” Lalu said.

The RJD chief also announced that his party will once again organise a mega rally, to get all the opposition together against the NDA government at the centre in Bihar. Though he did not disclose any date for the rally, saying that it will be decided after consulting other party members.

The main opposition party of Bihar, prior to this announcement had held a mega rally on 27 Oct, along with lakhs of RJD supporters was attended by West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, rebel JD(U) leader Sharad Yadav and senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad among others.
