Lalu Prasad Yadav

Speaking to the reporters after the swearing-in ceremony of Nitish Kumar, Lalu Prasad Yadav lashed at his former colleague and said that JDU has conspired against the mandate given by the people of Bihar. According to him, the voters had voted against the policies of BJP and with the latest move, the same party is in power. Lalu Yadav also said that Bihar is an aware state and the voters in even the rural places are aware of the state politics. He said the voters across the state are disappointed today because of what JDU did with their mandate.

Lalu Prasad Yadav seemed disappointed and angry while interacting with the reporters. He lashed out on BJP, the central government as well as JDU for various reasons. First of all, he blamed Narendra Modi of giving false hopes to the nation and added that Narendra Modi has kept the whole nation in dark with his never fulfilled promises.

Speaking of the grand alliance, Lalu Prasad said that he never had any greed for power. If such was the case, Nitish Kumar would never get nominated to become the chief minister. Despite his party finishing number 2 in the elections, Lalu said that he promoted Nitish to become the chief minister and rule the state. About the latest government formation, Lalu Prasad said that Nitish Kumar has been in touch with the senior leaders of BJP since last 3-4 months and that is where the whole script was written. He called Nitish Kumar as an opportunist and said that the mandate given to the grand alliance was to throw BJP out of Bihar, however, with his unconstitutional activities, he has disappointed the voters of Bihar.

Lalu Prasad Yadav has been trying to unite the opposition against BJP for quite some time now. Even for the recently concluded presidential elections, Lalu Yadav was one of the key members behind bringing 17 parties on one stage to oppose NDA’s candidate. However, the coalition saw Nitish Kumar pulling out at the last moment and since then, the speculations indicated Nitish Kumar’s growing interest towards NDA.

In his comments, Lalu Yadav openly blamed RSS and BJP by saying that RSS and BJP come from the same ideology of Nathuram Godse. There’s a need for someone to unite the country like Mahatma Gandhi, however, the ideology of BJP will never let that happen.
