RJD Chief Lalu Prasad Yadav fighting to keep its hold on politics and trying to save its party’s political career is doing everything possible.

After Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar broke up the grand alliance and formed the new government in the state with BJP, Lalu is feeling all defeated and broken. Not just RJD is upset with Nitish’s decision but former JD(U) President Sharad Yadav was also not happy with Nitish.

Sharad said he felt betrayed and ignored as he was not taken in confidence when Nitish took this decision. He said he was one of the building blocks of the party and he helped Nitish become the CM. Notably, senior Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad and CPI(M) general secretary Sitaram Yechury had met Sharad Yadav on July 28, the day JD(U) chief Nitish Kumar won the confidence vote in the Bihar assembly. There were also talks that Sharad might quit the party, however, Nitish was able to convince him that his decision was for the betterment of the party only.

Lalu Yadav on Sunday sought help from Sharad Yadav to defeat the increasing communal forces in the country. He said that “The kind of communal atmosphere is prevailing in the country, we desperately need politicians like Sharad Yadav ji who believes in secular fabric of the nation.” He urged Sharad to take a nationwide tour to defeat the communal forces that are rapidly spreading across the country.
