West Bengal chief minister, Mamata Banerjee accused the Election commission officers of supporting BJP in the state and working at their orders, She alleged the BJP of running a parallel government in West Bengal. She accused the two retired officers that have been sent to West Bengal to look after the poll booth and said that this is unconstitutional. the officers are trying to help BJP.

Mamata Banerjee on Sunday lashed out at the special observers accusing them of insulting and abusing the people of West Bengal. While addressing her rally in the Nadia district, she said that her party won the 2016 election with the majority even when police officials were deployed at every booth.

The Special Poll Observer Ajay V Nayak claimed earlier that the election scenario in West Bengal was similar to the situation in Bihar 15 years ago. He claimed that there is a need to deploy central forces at every booth an the people in West Bengal have lost their faith in the state police.

Trinamool Congress (TMC) also filed a complaint against Nayak, the former Chief Electoral Officer of Bihar, saying that he is supporting the ruling party. She hit out at BJP saying that the moves of demonetization have made everyone suffer and lose their jobs and economy. Mamata Banerjee also accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of depriving the people of their jobs and peace in his five years of government. She said that he made false promises and did not fulfill any of them.

West Bengal will vote for the Lok Sabha election is seven phases that have started from April 11 and will continue till May 19. the results shall be announced on May 23.
