Ahead of the Lok Sabha Polls, Narendra Modi talks to the traders during Traders Sammelan at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi promising the traders to give them a loan of ₹50 lakh without any collateral, credit card facility making a comeback in Delhi for the polls setting a new pitch for the voters to vote for him.
PM Modi accused the Congress-led UPA government of holding traders responsible for inflation. Traders had to face problems during the regime of Congress.
Calling the traders as the ‘backbone’ of the country, Narendra Modi tried his best to gain b0the influence of the voters. He said that doubling the size of the economy of the country is not possible without the contribution of the traders. Addressing the traders he said, “I am impressed with the hard work done by the traders. Traders are like the weather forecasters who can anticipate future tidings.”
Talking about the transparency that implementation of GST has brought in the business, Narendra Modi said that 17 different central and state taxes ended check-posts and resulted in doubling the number of registered voters.
Narendra Modi promised that if his government comes to power in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, his government will set up a National Traders welfare board, bring trader credit cards and a pension scheme for the small shopkeepers and small businessmen.
He said that the Narendra Modi led-NDA government has removed 1,500 archaic laws to commemorate the ease in business. The Mudra Yojna has helped more than 4.5 crores, new entrepreneurs, to get a loan. PM Modi said that BJP has fought against poverty, disease, terrorism, and lack of education.
He concluded the speech by saying that even Mahatma Gandhi used to call himself a proud trader.
Lok Sabha elections in Delhi will be held in seven parliamentary constituencies on May 12. The results will be announced on May 23.
