For the upcoming Maharashtra polls, CPI-M (Communist Party of India-Marxist) released the first list of candidates on Monday. The list contains 4 names in total.
List of candidates-
- Narasayya Adam- Solapur Central
- Jiva Pandu Gavit- Kalwan
- Dr. DL Karad- Nashik West
- Vinod Nikole- Dahanu (ST)
Jiva Pandu Gavit is a sitting legislator from the party. Narasayya Adam is a three-time MLA.
CPI party also condemned the existing government’s functioning and called it as anti-people. The party also labeled the Modi government as authoritarian and pro-corporate.

Maharashtra will go to polls for 288 assembly seats.
Important Dates for Maharashtra Polls-
- The detailed notification will be issued on September 27.
- Filing of nominations for will begin from September 27 to October 4.
- Scrutiny of applications will be done on October 5.
- Nominations withdrawal can be done till October 7.
- Elections will take place on October 21.
- Counting of votes will be done on October 24.
