Uttar Pradesh has been receiving heavy rainfalls in many parts of the state. According to the officials, many rivers including the Ganga and Sharda are flowing above the danger mark in several regions.

According to the data provided by Central Water Commission (CWC), River Sharda has crossed the danger sign in Shardanagar (Kheri), Pallia Kalan (Kheri) and River Ghagra is flowing above the danger sign in Elgin Bridge (Barabanki), Ayodhya (Faizabad) and Turtipar (Ballia).

Few other rivers to cross the danger sign are, Ganga at Fatehgarh, Gumtia (Kannauj), Chhatnag (Allahabad), Mirzapur and Ballia while Yamuna is rising in Etawah, Naini (Allahabad), Gomti in Lucknow, Sitapur and Jaunpur.

As per the reports of CWC the rainfall recordings of Monday are, Gorakhpur recording 130.4 mm rainfall, Basti 90 mm, and Mahrajganj 78.2 mm of rainfall.
