Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar on Monday laid the foundation stone for infrastructure works at the integrated school complex at Cujira — the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya Vidhya Sankul.

The work will include will include the creation of a new access road, improved parking lot and a sewage treatment plant, statement from Chief Ministerial Office Confirmed. The Ceremony was held at Chief Minister’s Office on Monday.

CM Parrikar who had on Monday visited the secretariat after a gap of 11 days also inaugurated the single window portal of the Goa Investment Promotion and Facilitation Board. The single window portal is the reflection of the state government’s commitment to work towards ease of business. It will help in providing a ‘hassle-free’ experience to investors and encourage the growth of the economy.

January 1, 2019, was the first day CM went to secretariat after August 2018.

Parrikar later inspected the third Mandovi bridge to review the progress of the bridge.

Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation Vice Chairman Siddharth Kuncalienkar while talking to Media after the CM laid the foundation stone said, “schools at the integrated complex were constructed without basic infrastructure, which is why the government constituted a task force to put the necessary infrastructure in place”.

He added that it was decided to provide one more entrance, parking space, facilities for sports, bus parking standard, standard procedure for security and maintenance and to develop a green campus.

CM Manohar Parrikar later shared the pictures of the ceremony on its twitter handle. CM in a tweet said, “Inaugurated the Single Window portal of the Goa Investment Promotion & Facilitation Board. [goaipb.goa.gov.in. The portal is a reflection of our Govt.’s commitment to promote Ease of Doing Business in Goa, and is an one-stop shop for all approvals required by the industry.”
