Bahujan Samaj Party Chief Mayawati on Wednesday slammed ruling Bharatiya Janata Party and Congress while addressing a presser in Andhra Pradesh‘s Vishakhapatnam. Mayawati who has forged an alliance with Pawan Kalyan‘s Jana Sena Party was addressing a joint presser when she hit out at both BJP and Congress.

Criticizing Congress Manifesto and its flagship scheme NYAY – that seeks to provide financial assistance, BSP Chief Mayawati compared Rahul Gandhi’s poll promise with Narendra Modi’s promise of 15 lakh to every bank account. Lashing out at both the parties, BSP Supremo said ‘In a run-up to the general elections 2014, Narendra Modi had promised Rs 15 Lakh to every bank account, he never bothered to fulfill that, and now Congress President has said to give Rs. 72,000 annually to every poor family in his NYAY –minimum Income Guarantee’.

She further training guns towards Congress said During Indira Gandhi regime, the grand old party has promised to eradication and given the slogans ‘Garibi Hatao’. But Has poverty eradicated from the country? She asked.

She also slammed both BJP and Congress over State Special Issue and promised special status tag to Andhra Pradesh while endorsing Pawan Kalyan as next Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

Responding to a query by a scribe asking about her candidature as next PM after the national elections 2019, she said this can only be clear after the outcome of Lok Sabha Polls 2014. She said, ‘Only voters and outcome’ can predict this.

Mayawati’s joint presser was part of her three days visit to Deccan States – Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Mayawati in a run-up the mega battle of ballots has forged an alliance with Jana Sena Party in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.

Mayawati and Kalyan will address two rallies on Thursday– one in Tirupati at the Sri Venkateswara University stadium at 3 pm, and another public meeting at LB stadium in Hyderabad at 5 pm.

BSP and Jana Sena Party have announced a poll tie-up with a seat-sharing arrangement where BSP would contest on 21 Assembly seats and 3 Lok Sabha seats in the upcoming Lok Sabha Polls in Andhra Pradesh. Bahujan Samaj Party will have its Candidates on Tirupati, Chittoor and Bapatla Lok Sabha Seats.

Jana Sana Party who had in 2014 supported Bhartiya Janta Party and the then ally of NDA Telugu Desam Party, had taken a call this time to contest on all seats. The party apart from stitching an alliance with BSP has also taken left parties in its fold.

The Jana Sena Party will directly pose a threat to Chandrababu Naidu’s TDP and Jagan Mohan Reddy’s YSRCP in the coming Elections in Andhra. Apart from Andhra Pradesh, Jana Sena and BSP have also joined hands in KCR’s Bastion Telangana for General Elections. Telangana has a total of 17 Lok Sabha Seats.

Andhra Pradesh will vote in a single phase on all 25 Lok Sabha Seats and 175 State Assembly seats on April 11. Telangana that sends 17 parliamentarians will also go to polls on the first round on April 11.

General Elections are slated for April-May this year that would spread on Seven Phases starting from April 11 to May 19. Election Commission had on March 10 declared schedule for General Elections 2019.
