The Aam Aadmi Party legislators have been accused by the Delhi Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash for an alleged beating. A medical report has confirmed of physical assault.

As per the ANI reports Prakash’s face had cut marks and swelling on the face. Also, the report confirmed injury in a scuffle.

The medical report surfaced a day after the Aam Aadmi Party denied charges of assaulting Prakash. Party leader Sanjay Singh said that an argument did break out but no assault took place.

Meanwhile, the Delhi High Court refused to consider any plea for judicial intervention. The High Court said that the police is already looking into the alleged assault on bureaucrat by AAP MLAs. We will wait for the final outcome to surface.

The Chief Secretary had named two lawmakers as accused of assaulting him at a midnight meeting convened by Mr Kejriwal on Monday. Lawmaker Amanatullah Khan’s house in Okhla saw police forces deployed in large numbers.  This triggered rumour about him being next. Among the detained is AAP legislator Prakash Jarwal who was picked up from his house at Deoli. Eventually, he will be arrested soon.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh in a meeting with bureaucrats working with Delhi Government, said, “Civil servants should be allowed to work with dignity and without fear.”

However, the AAP leaders later claimed that it was unfair that the Home Minister had not given them time but gave a statement after hearing one side of the story.
