The National Democratic Alliance’s (NDA) led by Narendra Modi, completed its three years of rule at the Centre. To mark the celebration, BJP has organised a fifteen day long campaign across 900 destinations in India. The campaign’s name has been linked with the surname of the Prime Minister- ‘Making of Developed India (MODI). Main agenda of Modi-fest will be highlighting the achievements of Modi government in past three years.

450 leaders including, Union ministers, BJP Chief ministers, MPs, MLAs and office bearers will spread out across 900 destination all over India. The campaign includes meeting with the intellectuals, Swachhta Abhiyan, meeting of one of the seven BJP Morchas (SC, ST, OBC, Minority, Youth, Farmer, Women) with the locals and a visit to the slums to hear their problems. A meeting with beneficiaries of government schemes such as Jan Dhan Yojna, MUDRA Bank and Ujjwala will also be held.

The fifteen day celebration starts from 26 May, with Prime Minister inaugurating the festival on Friday in Assam.

Party president Amit Shah will take part in the MODI fest in Kerala, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chhattisgarh and Arunachal Pradesh.

Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will attend the events in Jaipur and Mumbai, while External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj will be in Delhi and Lucknow.

Union Ministers Arun Jaitley will participate in the MODI fest in Bengaluru and Ahmedabad; M. Venkaiah Naidu in Bhuwaneshwar and Chhattisgarh, Nitin Gadkari in Chennai and Ranchi in Jharkhand.

Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje will attend functions in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh; Goa Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar in Vijaywada, Andhra Pradesh; Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadanvis in Kochi, Kerala; Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani in Hubli, Karnataka; and Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat in Jammu and Kashmir.

All the union ministers, MPs will attend two functions in the assigned state, one programme each in home state and constituency.

A central Control Room has also been established at the party headquarters in Delhi to coordinate and monitor the mega event that will continue till June 15.

This Modi-fest is also seen as a strategical move, to strengthen the hold of BJP in weaker areas and prepare for assembly polls due in 2019.
